Job Title: Learning Specialist
Position Type: Contract (12 months, renewable)
Location: Onsite, KL Sentral
Working Days: Mon-Fri
Working Hours: 7AM-4PM / 11AM-8PM
Responsibilities:
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Deliver engaging classroom, virtual, and blended training programs using adult learning principles.
- Facilitate learning through experiential methods, including structured exercises, gamification, scenario-based activities, and role plays.
- Apply effective questioning and discussion techniques to drive critical thinking, knowledge integration, and learner engagement.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and adaptability to learner needs.
Instructional Design & Program Development
- Design and customize training programs using established L&D methodologies such as ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy, Kolb's Experiential Learning Cycle, and Learning Styles.
- Align training content with business objectives to improve on-the-job performance and capability development.
- Support continuous improvement of learning materials based on feedback and performance data.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate training effectiveness using models such as Kirkpatrick, assessing learner reaction, knowledge transfer, behavior change, and business impact.
- Critically assess program content, facilitation quality, and process effectiveness.
- Provide actionable recommendations to enhance training quality and learner outcomes.
Coaching & Performance Support
- Deliver performance coaching to trainers and facilitators.
- Partner with operations and stakeholders to coach new hires during nesting periods, addressing skill and performance gaps.
- Support capability building through targeted feedback and development plans.
Data Analysis & Stakeholder Reporting
- Analyze training performance data using Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, charts, scatter plots).
- Develop clear, data-driven insights and visual presentations for stakeholders.
- Communicate training impact using concise storytelling aligned to business priorities.
Requirements:
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Training or Learning & Development, supporting internal or external audiences.
Language Proficiency
- Exceptional proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Professional proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin (spoken and written) to support China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong markets.
Education & Certification (Preferred)
- Formal education or professional certification from recognized Learning & Development institutions or bodies.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills in both classroom and virtual environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
- Solid understanding of adult learning theory and experiential learning practices.
- Strong analytical mindset with working knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides).
