Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Computer Science/ Marketing/ Finance

With the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, Manipal International University was renamed as MILA University in 2023. To establish leading business and computer science schools in Asia, MILA University is inviting applications for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in in the following fields:

• Marketing
• Computer Science
• Finance

We hope to find enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a strong record of professional practice, academic research, and/or enterprise activities in business management who can contribute to the growth of the Business School and Computer Science School of MILA University.

Responsibilities

• Manage diploma/undergraduate programmes.
• Design and deliver high quality teaching and learning activities in line with the strategy of the University.
• Provide timely student support and effective feedback to students to enhance the student experience and achievement.
• Provide pastoral guidance to students when appropriate.
• Contribute to the planning, design and development of subjects and programs in line with the strategy of the University.
• Participate in external and professional engagements that develop the enterprise activities of the University.
• Plan, organize and carry out research activities that support the strategy of the University.
• Secure appropriate funding to carry out a personal research plan.
• Work proactively with colleagues to achieve strategic outcomes of the University.
• Provide expert guidance and advice to colleagues within the university to resolve complex problems (for those appointed at least at Senior Lecturer level).
• Any other responsibilities entrusted by the University.

Essential Selection Criteria:

An applicant must

1. Have a doctoral qualification or equivalent in the related field.
2. Have at least 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
3. Have relevant research experience.
4. Have prior leadership experience, such as Head of Department, Programme Coordinator or similar.

Associate Professor positions are available for applicants who are established leaders in their field. Applicants must exhibit strong records of teaching, research and/or enterprise activities.

Senior Lecturer positions are available for applicants who have the potential to become leaders in the relevant discipline. Applicants must be able to plan and shape the direction of an area of research/teaching/enterprise activities.

Lecturer positions are available for applicants who are able to plan, organize and carry out own teaching, research and/or enterprise activities.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

An applicant must

1. Have secured research grants.
2. Have managed enterprise activities.
