Legal advisor (Mandarin Speaking)

Responsibility: -

1. Client Advisory & Consultation

Conduct professional consultations on:

• Wills & Estate Planning
• Living Trusts & Family Trusts
• Business Succession
• Special Needs & Minor Beneficiary Planning
• Recommend legally suitable and practical planning structures

2. Legal Documentation & Compliance

Prepare, review, and verify:

• Wills (Wills Act 1959 compliance)
• Trust Deeds & Trust Instruments
• Deeds of Appointment, Guardian Clauses, Executor Provisions
• Liaise with partnering trust companies for proper structuring

3. Internal Support, Training & Collaboration

Support business development team with:

• Legal explanations to clients
• Sales-legal handover
• Conduct training
• Public estate planning talks
• Participate in Expos, Seminars, Corporate talks, Partner events

Requirements

LLB Degree & qualified in Malaysia (or equivalent legal qualification)

Certifite in Legal Practice (CLP)

Minimum 15 years experience in Will, Trust, Probate, Litigation or corporate law (estate exposure an advantage) :

Strong understanding of:

• Wills Act 1959
• Trustee Act 1949
• Probate & Administration procedures

Excellent communication & advisory skills

Able to explain complex legal concepts in simple terms

High ethics, responsibility & attention to detail

Bilingual (English & Mandarin preferred)
