Job Description
Job Requirement:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, mathematics, accounting or economics, master's degree preferred.
- Admission to the Malaysian Bar is strongly preferred
- 2+ years related experience. (commercial experience has added advantage)
- Proficient knowledge of legal requirements pertaining to relevant contracts.
- ERP experience preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent reading and comprehension skills.
- Proficient ability to detect errors and inconsistencies.
- Good stakeholder management and attention to detail
Job Responsibilities :
Contract Management
- Act as central integration point for a variety of company stakeholders in the contracting process, arbitration, reviewing legal decision and authorizing legal binding articles and tribunal pleadings/written submissions.
- Review and negotiate contract and agreement changes requested by internal teams, vendors, and any internal customers to ensure that contract activities are in full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Perform due diligence review and oversight for new (and existing) third-party contractual services, including document coordination and analysis, including anti-bribery and corruption and information security management.
- Ensure retention of contracts and its supporting documentation.
- Maintain contract review policy and collaborate with all departments to drive compliance
Legal Liaison
- Provide legal advice in the discharge of the Company's duties and responsibilities and other corporate duties.
- Handle general legal inquiries and assist cross and lateral teams with general questions, including drafting letters, emails and other correspondence.
- Act as legal liaison to any third party(ies).
- Coordinate with panel lawyer and maintain a list of appointed panel solicitors, and propose the appointment when necessary
