Description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team in Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to our business operations, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations while mitigating legal risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to the business units and management on various legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations in Southeast Asia.
• Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
• Manage disputes and litigation processes, working with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Support compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in the region.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5-6 years of experience in corporate law or as a legal counsel, preferably in the Southeast Asia region.
• Strong understanding of commercial and corporate law, as well as regulatory frameworks in SEA.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear and concise legal advice.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software, with a strong understanding of legal databases.
• A law degree from an accredited institution and admission to the bar in relevant jurisdictions.
