Job Description

Job Requirements:

1. Contract Review & Drafting

  • Assist in reviewing, drafting, and formatting commercial agreements, including but not limited to Customer Agreements, Partner Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Subcontracting Agreements, Tenancy Agreements, and related documentation.
  • Conduct first-level contract review to: identify missing clauses or inconsistencies, ensure completeness of attachments and schedulesm, align agreements with internal templates and standard positions.

2. Legal Research & Advisory Support

  • Conduct legal and regulatory research as assigned and prepare concise summaries where required.
  • Assist in monitoring and reviewing regulatory developments relevant to the business.
  • Support the Legal Manager in preparing internal advisories, guidance notes, and briefing materials.

3. Compliance & Governance Support

  • Assist in maintaining compliance documentation, internal policies, and corporate governance records.
  • Support compliance-related administrative tasks, including maintaining training records, internal declarations, regulatory submissions, and related documentation.

4. Internal Coordination

  • Liaise with internal departments to follow up on documentation, approvals, and information required for legal matters.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Legal Manager and Head of Department.

5. Legal Filing & Records Management & Other Tasks

  • Maintain and manage legal documentation across both soft copy and hard copy records in accordance with internal filing standards.
  • Support internal and external audit exercises, including preparation and retrieval of relevant documentation.
  • Assist in periodic document clean-up, archiving, and housekeeping exercises to ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Perform other ad hoc legal and compliance-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent qualification.
  2. 12 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  3. Experience in reviewing commercial contracts and conducting legal research.
  4. Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  5. Comfortable managing documentation, structured filing systems, and process-driven work.
  6. Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
