Job Requirements:
1. Contract Review & Drafting
- Assist in reviewing, drafting, and formatting commercial agreements, including but not limited to Customer Agreements, Partner Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Subcontracting Agreements, Tenancy Agreements, and related documentation.
- Conduct first-level contract review to: identify missing clauses or inconsistencies, ensure completeness of attachments and schedulesm, align agreements with internal templates and standard positions.
2. Legal Research & Advisory Support
- Conduct legal and regulatory research as assigned and prepare concise summaries where required.
- Assist in monitoring and reviewing regulatory developments relevant to the business.
- Support the Legal Manager in preparing internal advisories, guidance notes, and briefing materials.
3. Compliance & Governance Support
- Assist in maintaining compliance documentation, internal policies, and corporate governance records.
- Support compliance-related administrative tasks, including maintaining training records, internal declarations, regulatory submissions, and related documentation.
4. Internal Coordination
- Liaise with internal departments to follow up on documentation, approvals, and information required for legal matters.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Legal Manager and Head of Department.
5. Legal Filing & Records Management & Other Tasks
- Maintain and manage legal documentation across both soft copy and hard copy records in accordance with internal filing standards.
- Support internal and external audit exercises, including preparation and retrieval of relevant documentation.
- Assist in periodic document clean-up, archiving, and housekeeping exercises to ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
- Perform other ad hoc legal and compliance-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent qualification.
- 12 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Experience in reviewing commercial contracts and conducting legal research.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing documentation, structured filing systems, and process-driven work.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
