Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Major Incident Management:
- Lead the formulation of legal strategy and messaging for major events.
- Review and approve all related public statements, announcements, and disclosures.
- Ensure all high-stakes external communications are legally sound, consistent, and aligned with corporate strategy.
Process & Protocol Governance:
- Develop, refine, and govern standardized workflows and legal protocols for crisis communication and external responses.
- Oversee the monitoring of public sentiment for strategic reputational and compliance risks, directing the preparation of advanced response frameworks.
Complex Advisory & Oversight:
- Provide strategic legal counsel on complex regulatory matters and high-value commercial contracts.
- Supervise and mentor junior legal staff in public-facing legal work.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Law; must be a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience: 5+ years of post-qualification experience, with significant in-house or law firm experience in managing high-profile regulatory matters and external communications. Proven leadership in crisis situations.
- Expertise: Deep expertise in relevant regulatory frameworks (advertising, data, industry-specific). Exceptional judgment and strategic thinking under pressure.
Preferred: Extensive experience in highly regulated industries. Strong executive presence and communication skills.
