Legal Specialist (JG4)

Hiring for Counsel, Legal & Compliance Service Hub.

A global MNC company, specializing in chemical manufacturing, is currently seeking a legal expert for Counsel, Legal & Compliance Service Hub.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate local or international legal and intellectual property contracts, using templates and playbooks within defined limits.
• Provide legal and compliance support on various matters, including due diligence, merger and acquisition projects, audits, and legal investigations.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, ensure process efficiency, and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of contract templates and knowledge management systems.
• Interact with internal clients and external customers as required for your assigned tasks.
• Perform ancillary tasks such as preparing presentations, using legal tech tools, and handling translations.

Requirements:

• University degree in Law, preferably with a focus on commercial law
• At least 3 years of professional experience in legal and commercial contract management, preferably with knowledge or practice of both common-law and civil-law systems
• Experienced in drafting and performing legal review of contracts, preferably with an emphasis on commercial law
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, enabling effective contribution in an international environment
