The Functional Solution Analyst (FSA) clarifies and translates business requirements to IT system functional requirements, system interaction and flows.
FSA works collaboratively with business users and technical team in developing scalable and flexible IT solution including studying both the business and system impact, developing the Functional Specification Document (FSD) or user stories (if project done in Agile method), functional solution, functional design, test strategy, support delivery go live and post live support.
Understand business context of the business requirements and assess if there are gaps.
Based on the understood business requirements, conceptualize and translate to become list of system features needed.
Based on the translated system feature list, analyse the impact to the existing IT system.
Perform traceability of the changes to other impacted areas, determine the required changes to existing IT systems and/or new systems required to be built, as well as the necessary functional interaction/integration between the IT systems.
Develop the functional solution design specification and obtain approval in internal Solution Design Review Forum (SDRF) where IT Technical can use this document and develop the corresponding technical solution design specification (TSD).
Participate in project meetings to provide clarity and guidance to the technical delivery team on the functional solution design specification.
Develop test plans and test cases to test and confirm the delivered IT systems work as per specified by the functional solution design specification.
Assist in production deployment planning (e.g. IT and business approval, readiness check, live test).
Job requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Minimum 5 years experience in business analyst or functional solution analyst in banking applications.
Familiar with IT System functionalities and functional flows especially on Lending (Term Loans and Auto Loans) on both Conventional and Islamic.
Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional team internally.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross-functional and cross vendor teams and able to deliver to aggressive timelines.
