We are seeking an experienced and CAAM-licensed Category C Authorisation Holder to oversee and certify aircraft base maintenance tasks under CAAM Part 145 approval. This role is responsible for the final airworthiness release of aircraft post-maintenance, ensuring all work packages have been completed to regulatory and safety standards before return to service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Aircraft Release & Certification
- Exercise Category C authorisation to issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) following base maintenance (e.g., C-checks, defect rectification).
- Review and verify all maintenance documentation, task cards, worksheets, and inspection reports prior to aircraft release.
- Ensure B1 and B2 licensed staff have completed and certified their tasks properly in accordance with the MOE and approved data.
2. Compliance & Airworthiness Oversight
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with CAAM Part 145, manufacturer data, and customer requirements.
- Highlight and escalate any deviations, non-conformities, or safety concerns to Maintenance or Quality Management.
- Support investigations into maintenance errors, safety issues, and airworthiness occurrences when required.
3. Technical Supervision & Coordination
- Coordinate across departments (Planning, Quality, Production, Stores) to ensure all inputs are complete for release.
- Provide technical oversight to support shift transitions, including ongoing defect rectification or deferred maintenance.
- Ensure that all tools, equipment, spares, and materials used are certified, traceable, and serviceable.
4. Documentation & Record-Keeping
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of maintenance records, CRS logs, and defect clearance reports.
- Assist in audits and inspections by CAAM, CAAS, or customer quality representatives.
Requirements:
- Holder of B1.1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance License with type rating acceptable to CAA Malaysia.
- Min 3 years as Cat B (B1.1 or B2) approval holder for certification on A350 with Trent XWB engine type.
- Comprehensive knowledge of type rated aircraft systems and familiarity with regulatory requirements.
- Candidate holding a Cat C authorization with A350 type ratings would have advantages.
