We are seeking an experienced LifeAsia / GroupAsia Developer to join our insurance technology team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the LifeAsia/GroupAsia platform to support core insurance operations, including policy administration, claims, and customer servicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain applications on LifeAsia / GroupAsia platforms.
- Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to translate insurance business requirements into technical solutions.
- Perform system configuration, coding, and integration with thirdparty applications.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure system stability.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely resolutions.
- Document technical specifications, workflows, and system enhancements.
- Participate in migration, upgrade, and modernization projects across insurance systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong handson experience with LifeAsia / GroupAsia insurance platforms.
- Proficiency in COBOL, AS/400, DB2, JCL, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of insurance domain processes (policy issuance, claims, underwriting, billing).
- Experience in system integration, batch processing, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for crossfunctional teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Life Insurance or Group Insurance product implementations.
- Experience with migration projects (e.g., legacy to LifeAsia/GroupAsia upgrades).
- Knowledge of regional insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work in multicountry environments across Malaysia, India, and SEA.
