Role Description The Life Planner role at AIA is a full-time position based in Kota Kinabalu with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site client engagement with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with individuals and families to understand their financial protection and savings needs, and recommending suitable life and health insurance solutions aligned with AIA's product offerings. The Life Planner will develop and manage a portfolio of clients, conduct regular policy reviews, and provide ongoing support to ensure coverage remains relevant to changing circumstances. The role also involves prospecting new clients, participating in marketing and community outreach activities, and maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory and company standards. Collaboration with internal teams and participation in training sessions are expected to stay informed on product updates and industry developments.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and practical understanding of Insurance and General Insurance products and services.
  • Proven abilities in Sales and client acquisition, with experience in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Skills in Marketing, including the ability to promote financial solutions and participate in outreach or campaigns.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a hybrid environment with measurable performance targets.
  • Relevant professional certifications or licenses in insurance or financial planning are an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered.
