System Engineer
The System Engineer is responsible for delivering technical support and administration of Linux This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, deep knowledge of Linux, and excellent communication skills to diagnose and resolve issues related to database performance, availability, security, and disaster recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues for the full suite of backup and recovery on Linux platform.
- Diagnose and resolve software, networking, and application problems
- Manage and monitor backup operations, disaster recovery plans, and storage utilization, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Document technical procedures, support case notes, and solutions for customer issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and escalate software bugs or product enhancements as needed.
- Provide best-in-class support via phone, email, and online forums, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with product development and engineering teams for advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in products, emerging backup technologies, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent handson experience.
- 37 years of experience in technical support
- Hands-on expertise on Linux OS, networking, basic knowledge of storage
- Experience with database backup and recovery tools, clustering, replication, and high availability configurations.
- Excellent communication skillsEnglish plus Chinese or English preferred.
