Position : Logistics Manager (ca. RM 250K per annum)

Location: Rawang, Selangor

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly capable Logistics Manager to lead and manage all site logistics activities for a major data centre project in Asia. This DC project is for a major technology company and is amongst the world's largest technology company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective site logistics strategies, coordinating material deliveries and equipment movement, managing site access and traffic flow, and ensuring that logistics operations support construction schedules, safety requirements, and overall project efficiency. This is a senior role requiring extensive experience in large-scale construction, data centre, infrastructure, or other complex mission-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all site logistics activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement site logistics plans covering material deliveries, storage, laydown areas, access routes, and equipment movement.
  • Coordinate the delivery, unloading, storage, and distribution of construction materials, equipment, and specialist systems.
  • Manage site access, vehicle movements, traffic management, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate logistics interfaces between multiple contractors, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and construction teams.
  • Manage laydown yards, warehouses, storage areas, and temporary logistics facilities.
  • Establish delivery and booking procedures to ensure efficient use of site resources and minimise congestion.
  • Coordinate the movement of large, heavy, or specialist equipment within the project site.
  • Work closely with construction, procurement, planning, HSE, and project management teams to align logistics activities with project requirements.
  • Monitor logistics activities against the master construction programme and identify potential impacts on project schedules.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Resolve logistics constraints and delivery conflicts proactively to minimise project disruption.
  • Ensure logistics operations comply with project HSE requirements, traffic management plans, site rules, and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor and improve site logistics processes to maximise operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate logistics schedules, delivery records, storage plans, and relevant documentation.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with the client, consultants, contractors, vendors, and project management team.
  • Provide leadership and direction to logistics personnel, coordinators, and supporting teams.
  • Support project planning for critical deliveries, equipment installation, commissioning activities, and final project close-out.

Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in construction logistics, project logistics, infrastructure, data centres, industrial projects, or other large-scale developments.
  • Proven experience in a Logistics Manager / Senior Logistics Manager position on major construction projects.
  • Strong experience managing complex, high-volume site logistics and material movement operations.
  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors within a large project environment.
  • Strong knowledge of site access management, traffic control, laydown planning, warehousing, storage, and material handling.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive Site Logistics Plans.
  • Experience working in fast-paced and highly controlled construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and the relationship between logistics and project schedules.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage logistics teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience on data centre, mission-critical, hyperscale, semiconductor, industrial, or major infrastructure projects will be highly advantageous.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
