Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale Data Centre projects. The role involves overseeing M&E works on site, coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, and ensuring all systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all M&E works on site, including HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, BMS, fire protection, and ELV systems.
- Review M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements for compliance.
- Liaise closely with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor progress, quality, and safety of M&E works to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular progress and technical reports.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.
- Ensure all works comply with statutory requirements, local authority approvals, and industry standards.
- Assist in value engineering, material submissions, and procurement support when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 35 years of relevant M&E experience, preferably with main contractors.
- Prior experience in Data Centre, mission-critical, industrial, or high-tech projects is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems, codes, and standards.
- Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks on site.
- Willing to be site-based in Selangor
