Position: M&E Project Engineer (Data Centre)

Salary Range: RM6,000- RM7,900
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, preferably in data centers. Internships or corporate experiences are advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years of construction management or design management experience.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, DDC, PLC, and relevant sottware tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
- Familiarity with electrical safety protocols and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
- Available to work in Cyberjaya with flexibility to travel to HQ (Shah Alam) when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, review and supervise implementation of electrical distribution systems, including medium voltage (MV), low voltage (LV), and DCIM or ECMS systems, ensuring alignment with the company requirements and industry best practices.
- Design, review and supervise implementation of mechanical systems, including fire protection system, cooling system, ventilation system and central vacuum system, ensuring alignment with the company requirements and industry best practices.
- Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling to simulate fluid flow and heat transfer process.
- Analyse CFD simulation results to provide insights and recommendation for design improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to integrate CFD analysis into project development and optimization.
- Monitor and ensure third-party vendors and contractors execute maintenance activities for mechanical & electrical systems in compliance with established standards, operational efficiency, and project specifications.
- Identify and provide solutions for potential mechanical & electrical issues to minimize risks, reduce downtime, and maintain the reliability of critical systems.
- Review and maintain detailed records of mechanical & electrical system configurations, testing reports, and compliance documentation to support project milestones and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a client representative to ensure all mechanical & electrical works meet contractual obligations and high-quality standards.
- Support operations and facility management teams during emergency response efforts by providing technical insights and ensuring contractors follow established protocols to restore normal operations efficiently.
- Facilitate regular assessments to ensure energy efficiency and sustainability targets are met, recommending optimization strategies where applicable.
- Facilitate and coordinate training sessions or knowledge-sharing workshops to familiarize the client's operations team with new electrical technologies and systems.
- Oversee and validate the testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems to ensure seamless integration into the operational framework and alignment with Company goals.
- Regularly inspect ongoing construction and installation activities, ensuring alignment with approved designs, codes, and project schedules.
