Job Summary
We are seeking a M&E Technician specializing in
mechanical systems to perform hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing facility.
The role focuses on
ensuring the reliability and efficiency of HVAC, pumps, exhaust, and related mechanical systems through scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and rapid corrective maintenance (CM).
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical System Operation & Maintenance
- Operate, monitor, and maintain HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, cooling towers).
- Maintain and troubleshoot pumps and exhaust systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust mechanical equipment as per PM schedules.
- Monitor system parameters and perform routine operational checks.
Preventive Maintenance (PM)
- Execute scheduled PM activities on HVAC, pumps, exhaust, and related mechanical systems.
- Identify and report potential failures or performance issues before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate PM logs and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.
Corrective Maintenance (CM)
- Troubleshoot mechanical system faults, including HVAC, pumps, and exhaust systems.
- Repair, replace, or adjust components to restore system functionality promptly.
- Support emergency maintenance during abnormal conditions or system failures.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed maintenance records, inspection reports, and incident logs.
- Report recurring mechanical issues to engineers or shift supervisors.
- Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory for mechanical systems.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with EHS policies, statutory regulations, and safety procedures.
- Participate in safety drills, audits, and mechanical system reviews.
- Promote a safety-first culture within the maintenance and shift team.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, specifically HVAC, pumps, and exhaust systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals, maintenance schedules, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience working in a shift-based 24/7 operational environment.
- Good communication, teamwork, and reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in high-tech or electronic manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to BMS/CMMS systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of chillers, Cooling Tower, AHU, FCU and Pump systems is a plus.
