Work experience:
- Senior: > 6years of experience working as a mainframe production support role or similar role (Developer)
Academic Requirements
- Bachelor's or master degree in information technology and/or other demonstrated learning path
- Certification (ITIL is a +)
- Proven experience as a mainframe production support role or similar role (Developer)
- Understanding of mainframe technologies and environments (Batch processes versus Online)
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2 as well as TSO.
- RTC tool understanding (IBM) is a nice to have
- Knowledge in SQL
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team and with business teams.
- Support business operations on their areas by resolving issues raised by business users and event / alerts driven or by improving or performing systems configurations
- Ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications by monitoring, analyzing and reports root cause of system/ production disruption and include recommendations to prevent the reoccurrence of glitches, defects & bugs.
- Analyze within their IT lines the current technology trends and look for opportunities to design new technology solutions that would maximize the company's productivity and improve business operations.
- Enrich procedures & documentation of deliverables. Keep documentation and processes around production support as well development cycle up to date and at his best possible efficiency.
