Job Description

Job Title: Production Support Analyst

Location: Malaysia

Department: Solution Delivery – Core GI

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Support Analyst to ensure smooth production operations and support our IT environment. This role involves resolving system issues, handling daily enquiries, and coordinating with vendors for application-related support. You will also manage DEV and UAT servers, monitor performance, and participate in release and incident management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain DEV and UAT servers for optimal performance and resource utilization.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues, escalating where necessary.
  • Handle service desk requests, user ID sanctioning, and production-related tickets.
  • Collaborate with vendors for timely resolution of application fixes, data patching, and batch job improvements.
  • Generate reports and provide data extraction services to support audits, regulatory submissions, and management.
  • Participate in release management, go-live activities, and production server capacity planning.
  • Ensure regular backups, IPLs, and housekeeping tasks are completed according to schedule.
  • Support regional projects by providing environment guidelines and knowledge transfer.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT solution delivery, preferably in insurance or financial services.
  • Experience with AS/400, COBOL, CL programs, Query/400, and smart/400 program development. Knowledge of batch management tools (e.g., Robot schedule/replay) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and meet challenging deadlines.
