Job Description

We're hiring! We are looking for an Affinity Manager to join our Affinity team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office.

Role & Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Lead business development commercial efforts to launch new affinity programs.
  • Establish contacts with prospective business partners in the region.
  • Review client files regularly, analyses and identify scope of cover required and check adequacy of policy coverage.

Programme Management

  • Engage business partners/clients to reach business objectives.
  • Facilitate implementation of new Affinity programmes.
  • Develop project plans and manage process from inception and continuation.

New Programme development & Programme Management

  • Identify and solve product and analyses quotation from insurers by performing analysis that involves retrieving market data and comparing all quotation from the insurers.
  • Assists with analysis and implementation of changes to existing insurance products as well as the development of new products.
  • Perform extensive product reviews that require analysis, and rate level indications.
  • Analysts client's management, product distribution, and claims procedures to enhance growth and profit of the Affinity programmes.
  • Manage and analyses the sales declaration data & claims data to ensure data accuracy and submit reports to the client on daily & monthly basis.
  • Develop and refine marketing material and evaluate campaign performance and objectives.
  • Support training of the existing and new programmes to the service teams and partner staff quarterly.
  • Review monthly service / retention reports to ensure desired targets are met.
  • Contact with insurance companies in cooperation/coordination with the broking teams as applicable.
  • Assists Account Manager & Business Development to identify new Affinity programmes by performing internal and market analysis.
  • Manage and resolve issues raised by clients and/or individual customers.

Client Management

  • Communicate status of marketing campaigns.
  • Manage clients expectations as relates to program performance objectives.
  • Explore new cross-sell and/or penetration opportunities i.e. products, programs etc.
  • Develop and manage relationships with insurance companies (in cooperation/coordination with the broking teams as applicable) and vendors.
  • Develop and write business proposals (including financial projections and profitability studies) for prospects.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry or in a role managing claims and customer service interactions.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Strong operational efficiency and sound judgment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and able to work efficiently, independently, and multitask effectively.
