We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our Finance Division.

About the Role

Responsible as a key member for our finance and operations team to ensure integrity of our business processes, compliance with regulations, and effective risk management practices. This role includes working closely with various departments to implement and maintain robust control frameworks, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Provide financial analysis and interpretation of results to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies, regulations, accounting standards.
  • Coordinate audits and reviews related to financial controls and compliance.
  • Implement procedures to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

  • Lead the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the business unit.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecasts, identify variances and recommending corrective actions.

Business Partnering and Decision Support:

  • Collaborate with business leaders and departments to understand their financial needs and provide strategic guidance.
  • Support business decision-making through financial analysis, scenario modelling, and business case development.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and projects from a financial perspective.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the business control team.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation and workload management to achieve team goals.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in financial management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Experience

  • More than 10 years of experience in financial management, business control, or related roles, preferably in the education or training industry.
  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting with strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting processes, and internal control frameworks.
