Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic professional to support the Head of Business Development and Deputy General Manager (Domestic) in driving growth and achieving the division's strategic targets. This role is pivotal in building partnerships with key stakeholders, conducting thorough assessments and due diligence, and coordinating across internal and external teams to successfully execute business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the focal point for engagements with potential partners, government agencies, and consultants, including organizing site visits and preparing investor memorandums.
- Manage post-engagement activities such as issuing preliminary legal documentation (NDA, EOI, LOI), assisting in drafting term sheets, and providing options for commercial negotiations.
- Conduct due diligence assessments and market intelligence initiatives, including competitor analysis, market studies, and feasibility studies, in collaboration with external consultants and relevant stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate the finalization and execution of agreements (i.e., MoU, JVA, SPA, SHA), including liaising with the legal department/legal solicitors, obtaining concurrence from relevant departments (e.g., Project team), and ensuring all required approvals and compliance obligations are fulfilled prior to execution (e.g., Bursa announcement).
- Review and plan for periodic reporting to Senior Management, Board Committees and Board when required.
- Review other corporate exercises including preparation of annual OPEX and CAPEX budgeting, Risk Monitoring, and other strategic initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring effective task management and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of industry-related business development experience.
- Strong understanding of real estate market dynamics, capital market transactions, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in conducting financial feasibility studies, market research, and due diligence assessments.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
