KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership and Business Oversight
- Support the department head to lead and oversee the end-to-end business support for the insurance/takaful Partnership distribution channel.
- Drive strategic planning & execution to support sales growth, operational efficiency and market competitiveness.
- Provide leadership in business analytics, sales forecasting and channel insights to enable data driven decisions.
- Oversee the transformation of data visualization and reporting through digital tools such as Power BI, etc.
- Monitor and enhance market share positioning through sales performance tracking and competitive analysis.
Reporting & Analytics
- Manage the delivery of accurate and timely sales performance reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Lead customer analytics initiatives to uncover sales patterns, campaign effectiveness and business trends.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies to improve channel productivity and performance.
Sales Campaign & Business Planning
- Lead end-to-end campaign management including design, planning, execution, fulfilment and post-mortem analytics.
- Collaborate with Sales & Product teams to ensure campaigns align with channel priorities and market opportunities.
- Support the annual business and strategic planning cycle through data analysis and planning frameworks.
Compensation & Incentive Management
- Oversee the compensation frameworks, performance based incentives, and contest tracking to drive engagement and productivity.
- Ensure robust governance on calculations, budget allocation and payout processes.
Channel Management & Onboarding
- Lead sales staff onboarding processes including licensing, regulatory compliance, and examinations (eg. TBE registration)
- Liaise with regulators and external bodies such as MTA to ensure full compliance and timely updates.
- Manage and update sales staff database and onboarding systems. (eg, DMS).
Cost & Expense Governance
- Monitor and manage distribution related costs and budgets, including marketing allocations, campaign funding and operational expenses.
- Drive process enhancements and controls to improve cost efficiency and budget utilization.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Degree holder in Business, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in insurance/takaful business support or sales management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Broad-base understanding of insurance/takaful distribution, product lines and regulatory environment.
- Proven experience in managing reporting, analytics and campaign operations.
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as BNM and MTA/LIAM and compliance processes.
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong business acumen with analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Proficient in Power BI, Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, and analytics and dashboard tools.
- Experience with data-driven business planning and compensation management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead teams and influence across functions in a fast-paced, matrix organization.
