Summary of this job:
The Cloud Solution Architect will be client-facing expert who bridges the gap between a customer's business challenges and the technical capabilities of a cloud solution provider. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud computing, coupled with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities of this job:
- Work closely with the sales team and the prospective client to understand their business pain points, strategic goals, existing IT landscape, and non-functional requirements (e.g., scalability, security, compliance).
- Vet opportunities to ensure the client's needs align with the company's core cloud offerings and capabilities.
- Translate the client's complex business requirements into a secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solution architecture. This involves selecting the optimal cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP IaaS/PaaS) and third-party tools.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling proposals (RFPs/RFQs) by contributing detailed technical descriptions, solution diagrams, and implementation roadmaps.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements to showcase the capabilities of Altel cloud solutions
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical proposal, including solution designs, configuration guides, and deployment plans.
- Work closely with Sales team in achieving TCV, Revenue and profit targets.
- Ensure a smooth transition to the post-sales/delivery team by providing detailed documentation and context on the accepted solution architecture.
- Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in network infrastructure and cloud computing.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our product offerings and industry advancements to effectively position our solutions including research, evaluate and recommend new cloud technology and solutions.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within client organizations
Competencies to deliver the job:
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing technologies, networking, virtualization, and key platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills to effectively translate complex technical concepts for both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders/management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to design solutions that mitigate technical and business risks.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Cloud+, AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectProfessional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum years of experience required:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture and management.
