About the Role

As a Manager within CIMB Investment Bank Berhad's Corporate Finance team, you will play a key execution role across advisory and corporate finance mandates, from origination support through to completion. This includes coordinating workstreams across internal stakeholders and external advisers, supporting due diligence and analysis, and preparing client presentation materials, transaction documentation, and submissions to relevant authorities.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of corporate finance mandates (e.g., M&A, IPOs, privatizations and takeovers, equity and quasi-equity fundraising, and corporate advisory), including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Support and participate in due diligence workstreams, including the identification and synthesis of key issues with legal, accounting, and other advisers.
  • Support the preparation and review of transaction documents and regulatory submissions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and compliance standards.
  • Support the preparation of pitches and proposals.
  • Guide Associates on work quality and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team culture.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in investment banking or corporate finance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, coordinate advisers, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with a structured and disciplined approach to execution.
  • Solid understanding of Malaysia's capital markets and regulatory landscape.
  • Highly driven, analytical, and passionate about the profession.
  • Client-oriented mindset with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and coach junior team members while maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.
