Overview
We are looking for a Manager to join our Wholesale Credit Operations team to oversee the administration of special schemes and funding, specifically focusing on Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGC), Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan (SJPP), and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) SME Funds. This role provides essential advisory services to Business Units, ensuring that all credit facility monitoring aligns with external regulatory policies and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will act as a key lead in safeguarding data integrity and preventing operational or credit losses.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Wholesale Credit Operations.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Functional (job responsibilities)
Responsible for the oversight and administration of special schemes and funding including CGC, SJPP, and the BNM SME Fund.
Provide expert advisory support to Business Centres and Wholesale Credit Operations Centre regarding the credit operations of special schemes.
Monitor the expiry and renewal of guarantees and ensure the timely payment of guarantee fees to prevent any lapses in coverage.
Monitor the maturity of BNM SME Funds and ensure full compliance with BNM Operational Guidelines regarding the disbursement and repayment of funds.
Review applications to ensure complete documentation prior to submission to CGC, SJPP, or BNM.
Validate data maintenance performed by the Wholesale Credit Operations team.
Constantly review and update SOP to reflect new product features and ensure full compliance with internal and external policies
Facilitate and coordinate the process of obtaining consent from guarantee providers for any changes to terms and conditions.
Manage a team of six members, overseeing their data maintenance and addressing issues related to special funding schemes.
Provide guidance and advisory services on scheme-related matters to the Business Centres and the wider credit operations team.
Manage and monitor data integrity within the wholesale credit operation centre to ensure high data quality and minimize potential credit loss.
Jobholder Requirements
Malaysian citizen.
Education/Qualification
At least a Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business, Finance or a related field.
Experience/Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in Credit Administration or Operations.
Sound knowledge of CGC, SJPP, and BNM Fund guidelines.
Strong understanding of credit documentation and internal credit processes.
Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
