Responsibilities
- Assist the Director, Data Analytics and Administration to provide mentoring to team members and assist in building and maintaining the administration systems, procedures, and documentation to successfully administer business.
- Responsible for the data governance processes, the assessment and remediation of data quality related issues and participating in the development of local and corporate standards, procedures, and process improvements.
- Ensure all data management processes and standards are in accordance with divisional and corporate standards.
- Execute data analytics to support ongoing continuous risk monitoring and risk assessments of operational or financial data to recognize patterns and trends.
- Facilitate and provide retrocession analytics and reporting.
- Review and verify report logic to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Analyse and validate report results, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare and compile reports in compliance with regulatory requirements, timeliness, reporting standards, guidelines, and statutory obligations.
- Develop and implement best practices for reporting governance and controls.
- Manage the end-to-end reporting process, including planning, execution, review, and submission.
- Act as the primary point of contact for reporting-related queries from internal stakeholders and external regulators.
- Oversee the and delivery periodic management reports to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Qualifications
- University degree in economics, business administration or other related disciplines
- 5+ Years of related work experience in life insurance/reinsurance
- Advanced SQL and VBA programming experience.
- Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks.
- A positive attitude to dealing with people, shares openly and willingly, demonstrates cooperation and flexibility.
- Client focused and a self-starter, driven in pursuit of targets.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex analysis into a well-structured, action-oriented presentations, recommendations and insights to senior management.
- Ability to create process and workflow models and facilitate business discussions.
- Autonomy, accuracy, attention to details and excellent organizational skills.
- Understand how key risks and controls impact the business from an operational, accounting, and/or systems perspective.
