Job description:
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Technical Oversight
- Manage the end-to-end electrical design process during tender and delivery forHV/MV substations, overhead and underground transmission lines, and renewable energy system (Solar, Windfarm), Balance of Plant or System (BoP/BoS) and integrations to BESS and grid.
- Review various tender and delivery design documents, drawings, calculations and reportsproduced by the consultants for technical compliance, constructability, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance withrequired project specifications and international standards.
- Contribute tovalue engineering exercisesduring tender and delivery phase. This includes, optimizing material selection, simplify construction methodologies and identify alternative technical solutions that balance cost, schedule, and quality for tender submissions without compromising performance.
- Coordinate and interface with architects, mechanical, civil, structural and other discipline design teams for integrated designs.
- Coordinate with construction team where required to incorporate constructability solutions in design.
- Cost conscious in proposing design solutions for construction and T&C and operations.
- Conductpost-tender design reviewsto capture lessons learned and improve future tenders
2. Consultant & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and/or coordinate with thedesign consultantsduring tender and delivery stages, ensuring alignment with project objectives and standards
- Develop and manageconsultant scopes of work, deliverables schedules, and performance metrics
- Conduct/ participate in design coordination meetingsto resolve interdisciplinary clashes and ensure integrated solutions
- Support various tender submissions activities including but not limited to HAZOP studies, risk assessments and BOQ preparation as required during tender.
3. Team & Leadership
- Knowledge sharing with team and mentor junior engineers
- Stay updated on emerging technologies related to Power and RE systems

Lead the electrical design and engineering team to deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective solutions forsubstations, transmission systems, and renewable energy projects(solar, wind, BESS). Ensure adherence to local regulations, international standards, and client requirements while optimizing performance and safety.
