Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join Group Finance, Affin Bank in the role of Manager – ERP Finance and Cost Analytics. This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end cost reporting, cost accounting, and analytics to support financial control, cost transparency, and data-driven decision-making across the Group.
Job Responsibilities
Monthly Cost Reporting and Analysis
- Lead end-to-end monthly cost reporting, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of OPEX reporting.
- Perform variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast), identify key drivers, and highlight notable movements.
- Monitor cost trends across divisions and provide regular updates on performance against targets.
- Maintain consistency, integrity, and quality of cost data across reporting outputs and dashboards.
Cost Accounting and Financial Controls
- Manage cost accounting activities including accruals, provisions, prepayments, reallocations, and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain robust audit trails, support schedules, and reconciliations to ensure audit readiness.
- Validate and ensure the integrity of cost data within ERP systems and reporting outputs.
Cost Analytics and Business Insights
- Analyze cost drivers and identify trends, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
- Support cost optimization initiatives through analysis, tracking, and reporting of outcomes.
- Develop and maintain cost dashboards and structured reporting packs.
- Translate data into actionable insights to support business and Finance stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement and Business Support
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement, and business units on cost queries, reporting, and analysis.
- Provide advisory support on cost allocations, reporting interpretation, and financial implications.
- Support cross-functional initiatives with financial analysis and reporting inputs.
Management Reporting and Communication
- Prepare monthly cost packs, reports, and supporting materials to communicate cost performance and key insights.
- Translate analysis into structured outputs to support stakeholder understanding and discussions.
- Present cost performance and key findings to Finance and business stakeholders where required.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Support and guide junior team members in cost reporting and analysis activities.
- Maintain disciplined execution standards and adherence to timelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within cost management and reporting processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, or analytics.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (accruals, provisions, prepayments).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle) and strong PowerPoint/ Excel / analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills with ability to present analysis in a structured manner.
