Brew Crew Opportunity

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is seeking a Manager, Finance Business Partner, International Franchise based in Malaysia. This role will serve as the primary finance and commercial business partner to assigned franchise markets, supporting business performance, strategic growth, and franchise development initiatives.

You will work closely with franchisees and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, drive performance improvement, evaluate growth opportunities, and support key commercial decisions. The individual will also be responsible for financial planning, performance reporting, business reviews, and strategic projects that support the continued expansion of our international franchise business.

This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner, International Franchise.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Act as the primary finance business partner for assigned international franchise markets, building strong relationships and supporting franchisees in achieving their business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales trends, store performance, franchise profitability, and key operating metrics to identify opportunities and risks across the business.
  • Prepare monthly business reviews, management reports, forecasts, and presentations that provide meaningful insights into franchise performance.
  • Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-term planning activities for international franchise markets.
  • Partner with franchisees and internal stakeholders to develop action plans that drive sales growth, improve profitability, and enhance overall business performance.
  • Develop financial models, business cases, and commercial analyses to support strategic initiatives and key decision-making.
  • Support commercial discussions and negotiations, including franchise agreement renewals, commercial terms, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct financial due diligence, market assessments, and profitability analyses to evaluate new market entry and expansion opportunities.
  • Partner with Development teams to assess market potential, store economics, investment returns, and growth strategies.
  • Lead and support strategic projects focused on franchise growth, commercial excellence, and process improvement.
  • Design and enhance franchise reporting tools, performance dashboards, and business processes to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Support franchise onboarding activities and contribute to the development of scalable frameworks for franchise evaluation and market expansion.

Your Ingredients

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting multi-country operations, franchise businesses, retail, QSR, or consumer-facing industries preferred.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business recommendations and actionable insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced international environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI experience preferred.
  • English proficiency required.
