About The Job

You will be responsible for managing the Company's accounting and reporting deliverables outsourced to shared service provider. The role ensures the accuracy, timeliness and compliance of financial information while maintaining effective internal controls and governance requirements.

  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and financial statements prepared by shared service provider, ensuring compliance with IFRS/MFRS, corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage of the performance of the shared service provider against service level agreements (SLA) and key performance indicators and escalating issues to Head of Finance as required.
  • Ensure accuracy of general ledger entries, intercompany reconciliations, investment and fixed assets records and consolidation adjustments.
  • Act as primary point of contact for the shared service provider on accounting and reporting matters.
  • Perform annual review on corporate policies and procedures (e.g. accounting policies, related party transactions).
  • Conduct annual outsourcing review for shared service provider. This includes preparation of outsourcing appendices and collation of supporting documentations.
  • Assist in technical accounting assessments and implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong governance and internal control frameworks across outsourced operations, ensuring business continuity risk mitigation are in place.
  • Coordinate audit processes, liaising with external auditors, internal auditors, regulators, and shared service teams.
  • Support special projects including system upgrades, process improvements and complex business transactions.
  • Collaborate with Business Finance, Corporate Treasury, and other CFO Division functions to provide accounting expertise in support of strategic decision-making.

We are looking for people who

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, ICAEW) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experiences in financial institution preferably life insurance or established audit firm.
  • Experience in working with or managing outsourced/shared service finance functions is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Words and Power Point and financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong technical knowledge in IFRS/MFRS, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
