Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

Job Descriptions

1. Partner closely with Commercial, Operations and supporting functions to provide financial guidance, insights and recommendations that support effective decision-making, cost efficiency and business performance.
2. Work with department heads and key stakeholders to understand business priorities, key cost drivers and operational performance, translating business activities into financial impact and actionable recommendations.
3. Analyze financial and operational performance, including budget/forecast vs. actual to identify key drivers, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
4. Provide financial analysis, scenario modelling and business insights to support strategic and operational decisions, improve cost efficiency and drive profitability.
5. Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports, providing clear analysis and commentary on key financial and operational performance, risks, opportunities and key business drivers.
6. Support the preparation of strategic plans, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, including developing assumptions, conducting financial analysis and preparing management presentations.
7. Leverage data, digital and AI-enabled tools to enhance financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, automation and business insights, and continuously identify opportunities to improve finance processes and productivity.
8. Present key financial insights, risks and recommendations to management and provide ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support as required.

Job Requirements

1. Degree in accountancy or ACCA/CIMA/Chartered Accountant and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the commercial finance/business analysis experience in the retail/FMCG industry
2. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, finance and accounting software, e.g. SAP, Qlik Sense and any EPM
3. Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial and operational data into meaningful business insights
4. A self-driven, independent individual who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
5. Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills to foster effective cross-functional collaboration
6. AI capability and digital mindset, with the ability to effectively use AI tools and emerging technologies to support financial analysis, reporting, data interpretation, process automation and productivity improvement
