Job Description

At TNG Digital, part of TNG Digital Group, we build the tech behind TNG eWallet, one of Malaysia's most used apps for payments and everyday life.

Millions of people rely on us daily, not just to pay, but to manage money, access financial services, and get things done faster and simpler.

Behind it all is a team that likes to question how things are done, move quickly, and try new ideas. If you enjoy solving real problems and seeing your work used at scale, you will feel right at home here.

Role Overview:

We are hiring a hub lead to join the Growth Ecosystem team within the broader Growth division at Touch n Go Digital.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end growth strategy, partner ecosystem, and product experience for one or more service categories in the TNG eWallet app — such as Transport, Bills, Travel, Near Me, GoFinance, or Crossborder. Internally, we call these hubs: integrated spaces in the app where users can discover and use services from our partners.

This is a product-led growth role at the centre of our super-app ambition. You will shape how partner services are discovered, accessed, and experienced beyond the traditional mini-program model, helping TNGD become Your Everyday Digital Companion.

What You'll Do:

Product & Ecosystem Growth

  • Own the strategy and performance for your hub(s), translating high-level business goals into executable quarterly and monthly plans.
  • Shape how partner services are embedded into the TNG eWallet experience — whether through hub modules, contextual triggers, aggregators, or other native surfaces.
  • Work closely with Product teams to define requirements and prioritise initiatives that improve user discovery, adoption, and retention.
  • Use data to diagnose performance gaps, identify growth opportunities, and prioritise experiments across product, marketing, pricing, and partnership levers.

External Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration

  • Partner with existing business units to support the management of external partner relationships within your hub(s).
  • Translate partner capabilities and technical integration concepts into clear product and growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate how partner functionality can be surfaced across the app experience in ways that feel native, useful, and easy to discover.
  • Act as a trusted bridge between partners, internal business units, and technical teams to drive joint growth initiatives.
  • Assess new partnership opportunities using structured frameworks covering strategic fit, ecosystem value, commercial potential, operational readiness, and regulatory risk.

Internal Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as the single point of contact for your hub across internal teams including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Data, Legal, Compliance, and Operations.
  • Communicate technical ideas and product concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on hub roadmap, launch plans, experiments, and performance reviews.
  • Translate partner capabilities and user needs into clear product and engineering briefs.
  • Influence decision-making across teams without direct authority; escalate effectively when trade-offs are required.

Experimentation & Agile Growth

  • Operate as a hands-on experimenter: continuously test levers to encourage users to discover and try new use cases within your hub.
  • Design, launch, and measure rapid growth experiments across product, messaging, incentives, placement, and partner features.
  • Scale experiments that show positive signals; kill or iterate quickly on experiments that do not, capturing learnings and moving on.
  • Build a culture of test-and-learn within your hub and across supporting teams.

Data-Informed Execution

  • Own the hub's key performance targets, including monthly transacting users, cross-category usage, transaction value, and other relevant growth metrics.
  • Build dashboards and scorecards to track progress, risks, and recommendations.
  • Report regularly to leadership on hub performance, strategic initiatives, and blockers.

Role Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of experience in growth, product management, business development, partnerships, or strategy — preferably within tech, fintech, marketplace, or super-app businesses.
  • Strong product mindset with the ability to understand technical architectures, APIs, and integration patterns, and explain them clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of owning a business metric or P&L and delivering measurable growth outcomes.
  • Experience collaborating with business units and external partners to shape product experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with data, defining KPIs, running experiments, and making decisions based on evidence.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex technical ideas into actionable strategies for senior stakeholders and external partners.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with digital wallets, financial services, transport, travel, bills, or marketplace ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with mini-programs, embedded partnerships, super-app strategies, or platform/ecosystem business models.
  • Understanding of how functionality can be decoupled from apps or partner platforms and surfaced in new contexts.
  • Exposure to B2B2C partnerships and ecosystem monetisation.
  • Experience working in high-growth or startup environments.
  • Knowledge of mobile app growth, CRM, lifecycle marketing, or performance marketing.

Behaviours & Mindset

  • Owner mindset: takes full accountability for outcomes, not just activities.
  • Experimenter mindset: treats growth as a series of hypotheses to test, learn from, and scale or sunset quickly.
  • Agile and resilient: comfortable failing fast, capturing learnings, and moving on to the next test.
  • Structured problem-solver: breaks ambiguous goals into actionable plans.
  • Collaborative influencer: builds trust across functions and drives alignment.
  • Data-driven: instinctively asks what does the data say and validates assumptions.
  • Partner-centric: understands that strong external relationships are built on mutual value.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
