Manager - Intergal Life

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Integral Life (IL) Developer to join our Life Delivery Management team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Integral Life/Life Asia, COBOL, Smart400, and IBM i (AS/400) environments, along with a solid understanding of the Life Insurance domain.

The role involves application development, production support, incident management, troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring reliable delivery of technology solutions that support business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, investigate production issues, and provide effective technical solutions.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications within the Integral Life (Life Asia) platform.
• Provide production support, monitor application performance, and ensure system stability.
• Manage incidents, troubleshoot application issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Support batch processing and ensure timely resolution of production issues.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and operational standards.
• Contribute to technology initiatives and achieve individual and team performance goals.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Integral Life (IL) development and production support.
• Strong experience with Life Asia / Integral Life COBOL systems.
• Hands-on expertise in:
• COBOL Development
• Smart400
• IBM i (AS/400)
• SQL Development
• Control Language (CL)
• Experience supporting Life Insurance applications and business processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in production support, incident management, and application maintenance.
• Proven experience working across the complete SDLC.
• Ability to perform impact analysis and provide technical recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fast learner with a positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing business stakeholders directly.
• Exposure to enterprise application support environments.
• Understanding of insurance policy administration systems and related processes.
• Experience working in a global or regional delivery environment.
