Accountabilities
Compliance Function
- Assist Head of Department to set out Annual Compliance Plan and tasks to be completed
within timeline.
- Understand and identify regulatory requirements applicable to Affin Islamic Bank and
disseminate compliance-related information to bank employees to ensure familiarity with
compliance requirements.
- Perform compliance review to ensure products and services adhere to regulatory
requirements.
- Perform gap analysis of the regulatory requirements and existing practices where required.
- Provide compliance advice and necessary support to staff within Affin Islamic Bank upon
request.
- Update the compliance matrix to facilitate compliance assessment as to ensure all regulatory
requirements are addressed timely.
- Ensuring the submission of compliance tools by respective department within Affin Islamic
Bank.
- Provide regular updates on the regulatory standards/guidelines/concept papers to Senior
Management on compliance issues.
- Alert any compliance issues to respective department and update the same to Senior
Management.
- Promote compliance awareness among staff and to conduct relevant compliance & AML/CFT
training as appropriate.
