Responsible for providing legal advisory and support across a range of commercial and insurance-related matters to safeguard the organisation's interests.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and advise on agreements including digital marketing campaigns, IT agreements, service agreements, collaboration agreements.
- Manage and strategise on pre-litigation and litigation matters
- Providing accurate and strategic solutioning to legal issues arising from the insurance business.
- Managing stakeholders including lawyers and coordinating with external legal counsels where required.
- Advise on insurance and agency related matters.
- Any additional task assigned by superior.
Qualifications
Job Specification:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent LLB qualification from a recognized local or overseas higher learning institution
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience, either in an inhouse or law firm environment
- Prior experience in both agreement review and litigation will be an advantage
- Experience in financial services is not a prerequisite but an additional advantage
Skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Enjoys speed to market environment
- A passionate team player who can work with minimal supervision though team help is always a shout away
