What would you do

• Drafting, preparing, vetting and/or negotiating all range of commercial contracts / agreements relating to the Company's business areas as well as developing and/or reviewing new and current templates of agreements and terms and conditions in relation to the Company's new and current business, products and/or services.
• Rendering legal advice / opinion and preparing legal documentation with regards to matters from business units, operations, audit, finance, human resource, compliance and risk etc.
• Handling project management, overseeing and advising on legal aspects of special projects where appropriate, e.g. M&A, capital injection, shareholder agreements etc.
• Drafting new / reviewing and revising existing policies and procedures of the Company in ensuring the adoption of the anti-bribery and corruption practices and procedures, adherence to the Financial Services Act, Personal Data Protection and Competition Act requirements as well as any other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Participating in strategic planning & development and contributing to business objectives, monitoring IP rights and ensuring necessary enforcement (e.g. infringement matters) as well as rendering legal feedback, concerns and/or input.
• Managing litigation matters, audit responses involving legal department and external lawyers as well as providing training / updates to employees pertaining to any applicable legislations.
• A willingness to work flexibly on other ad-hoc task as and when required.

Who should join us

• Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from a reputable university
• Law degree (LLB Hons) from a reputable university and Masters degree (LLM Hons) from a reputable university will be an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience as advocate & solicitor (partner level) and/or in-house Legal Counsel.
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian commercial law, regulatory framework, contract law, competition law and corporate law. Significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions or TMT industries.
• Showcase ability to lead initiatives and take ownership of tasks, work in a fast-paced and agile environment and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
