Job Description

Imagine working with a global team of more than 10,000 talented people committed to creating the world's best medical technology. Imagine a role where your skills and attributes will contribute to improving millions of lives.

Because at Resmed, you will.

Let's talk about the Team:

Join our Moulding NPI Team and work at the forefront of automation, precision injection moulding, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

The team partners closely with Operations and Product Development to deliver end-to-end manufacturing solutions for Resmed mask components across global markets. We identify, develop, and implement new processes, equipment, and technologies to achieve high-quality outcomes that meet evolving volume, cost, and regulatory requirements.

Let's talk about the Role:

As Manager, you will lead a high-performing manufacturing engineering team responsible for prototyping, process development, validation, and NPI delivery.

You will play a critical role in shaping how products are industrialised, ensuring manufacturing considerations are embedded early and effectively into product development.

This role requires strong leadership and influencing capability to align cross-functional and global stakeholders, drive timely decision-making, and deliver robust, scalable manufacturing solutions. You will act as a key manufacturing representative, balancing technical depth with strategic thinking to enable successful product launches.

Let's Talk About Responsibilities:

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performing team culture anchored in trust, accountability, and continuous development
  • Coach and develop team members to strengthen technical capability, ownership, and growth
  • Drive strong engagement across a highly skilled engineering team to deliver both project and operational outcomes
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders (Product Development, Operations, Quality, and Global teams) to align decisions, resolve conflicts, and maintain program momentum
  • Act as the voice of Manufacturing, ensuring manufacturability, cost, quality, and scalability are embedded early in product development
  • Partner with business leaders and SMEs to align team capability, resourcing, and technology with future business needs

Program Ownership and Team Execution

  • Own and be accountable for the successful delivery of NPI manufacturing programs, ensuring alignment to timelines, cost targets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes, validation strategies, and production methodologies
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration between Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Product Development, and global stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory, safety, and quality standards across all activities
  • Enable and support digital transformation initiatives within manufacturing, driving adoption and continuous improvement

Let's talk about you:

You are a strong people leader and influencer who thrives in a dynamic, matrixed environment. You are able to navigate complexity, align diverse stakeholders, and drive outcomes through others.

You combine technical depth with strategic thinking, and are confident making decisions, managing trade-offs, and communicating clearly across all levels of the organisation.

Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong knowledge of product design, process validation, and lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Experience in injection moulding, automation, and high-volume manufacturing environments is advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional and global stakeholders, driving alignment and decision-making in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, manage ambiguity, and deliver results through structured problem-solving

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Consistent delivery of NPI programs on time, within cost, and with high quality
  • Robust, scalable manufacturing processes with strong validation outcomes
  • Effective cross-functional alignment and decision velocity
  • Team engagement, capability development, and retention
