Grow together
At the core of our mission is protecting our customers data, whether it resides on premises, in the cloud, or in use. In this role, you will lead a team of seven highly skilled colleagues across engineering and development disciplines. The team consists of two closely collaborating subteams that operate as one: an engineering team of four and a development team of three.
The engineering team designs, implements, and operates our core cryptographic platforms, including Key Management Systems, PKI, and Tokenization, using technologies such as Fortanix, Thales, Microsoft, and Linux. The development team delivers internal applications that support our PKI and Cryptographic Services, including our inhouse Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform, currently built in PHP.
The team's mission includes building secure infrastructure, driving application modernization, collaborating with internal security and infrastructure teams, managing strategic vendor partnerships, identifying emerging technological opportunities, and provide thirdlevel operational support.
You will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the services we provide. This includes influencing architectural roadmaps, establishing technical standards, guiding investment decisions, and partnering with Operations, Product and Service Owners, and Architecture functions to ensure alignment with enterprisewide priorities. Strong communication and the ability to build trust across teams are essential, as you will represent your area in crossfunctional discussions and help ensure alignment across the organization.
A strong technical background in Cryptography, such as PKI, and at least some exposure to software development is expected. However, what matters the most is proven leadership experience and a genuine dedication to continuously developing your leadership skills. We embrace a leader-leader philosophy: as a manager, you empower your team, support their professional growth, remove obstacles, and guide them in nontechnical areas, while at the same time being a follower and enabler in technical matters where your experts lead the way.
Your team collaborates closely with the Operations team, which handles daily support requests. You will be responsible for prioritizing and planning new infrastructure and application features, ensuring continuous improvement of our services, and coordinating support during critical or timesensitive situations.
Additionally, you will operate within a large and interconnected IT ecosystem where integration and collaboration across functions is essential. Our services rely heavily on Active Directory and multiple internal systems for the distribution and lifecycle management of X.509 certificates and other cr yptographic material across the organization.

DHL is a German logistics company providing courier, package delivery and express mail service, which is a division of the German logistics firm Deutsche Post. The company group delivers over 1.6 billion parcels per year. DHL Express is market leader for parcel services in Europe and Germany's main Courier and Parcel Service.
The company DHL itself was founded in San Francisco, United States, in 1969 and expanded its service throughout the world by the late 1970s. In 1979, under the name of DHL Air Cargo, the company entered the Hawaiian islands with an inter-island cargo service using two DC-3 and four DC-6 aircraft. Adrian Dalsey and Larry Hillblom personally oversaw the daily operations until its eventual bankruptcy closed the doors in 1983. At its peak, DHL Air Cargo employed just over 100 workers, management and pilots.
