Job Description

The Operations Coordination & Performance Manager – FPSO Operations will be responsible for leading and managing all commercial activities within the FPSO Operations department. This role is established to provide dedicated commercial oversight throughout the lifecycle of FPSO operations — including contract execution, operations readiness, and future tenders.

The role will serve as the commercial focal point within Operations, ensuring alignment with internal functions such as Finance, Contracts, Business Control, and Proposal, while safeguarding commercial value, cost recovery, and performance-linked entitlements under active FPSO contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage commercial deliverables related to FPSO operations and readiness, including pricing assessments, value optimization, and commercial performance tracking.
  • Support with the preparation of business cases, commercial inputs for management approvals, and cost-impact evaluations tied to operational decisions.
  • Review and coordinate the department's internal budget inputs, forecasts, and justifications in collaboration with Business Control and Finance.
  • Lead the preparation and commercial evaluation of Operational Variation Orders and ensure timely submission with proper cost, scope, and schedule justifications.
  • Track contract performance against incentive schemes and lead the calculation, validation, and documentation required for incentive payments or penalties.
  • Coordinate with Contracts and Finance teams to ensure VO and incentive processes are aligned with contract terms and audit requirements.
  • Represent Operations by participating in client-facing commercial meetings, including contract performance reviews, VO negotiations, and commercial clarification sessions.
  • Support FPSO Operations in aligning commercial communications and responses with contractual obligations and internal policies.
  • Provide FPSO operations-specific commercial inputs to re-tenders, contract extensions, or new bids — including cost assumptions, operational pricing strategies, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Proposal team to ensure accurate operational cost modelling and alignment with historical performance data.
  • Monitor and analyze actual cost performance versus budget across operations activities, highlighting variances and advising on corrective actions.
  • Support the development of commercial models for new tenders and proposals, focusing on operational input accuracy and benchmarking.
  • Ensure cost tracking mechanisms are in place for key operational initiatives to enhance transparency and decision-making.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Finance, or related fields. Master's degree or MBA is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in commercial management roles in the oil & gas sector, preferably with exposure to FPSO or offshore operations.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of FPSO O&M and Bareboat Charter commercial models
  • Experience in estimation and cost recovery mechanisms
  • Proficiency in commercial modelling, budgeting, and financial analysis

Soft Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Structured thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
  • Able to manage cross-functional coordination and work independently within a matrix structure
