Responsibilities

• Responsible for claim functionality coding on product launch, enhancement and defect fix.

• Understanding business requirement, define and prepare gap analysis.

• Propose logical and physical design.

• Produce functional and technical specification.

• Develop a good understanding of the application system design and data model.

• The scope of development will include hands on coding, setup data/DB changes, interfaces to other applications and reports.

• Perform System Testing/SIT and provide necessary support for UAT.

• Able to perform production system application support by investigate and provide solution.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or related field.

• At least 5 years working experience in system design and development.

• Experience and knowledge in Java programming and SQL is a must.

• Hands-on experience on web-based programming technologies & framework (E.g. Struts, Spring, Hibernate, HTML5, AJAX, JSP, SOAP/Restful web services, etc)

• Knowledge of Eclipse development tools, Apache Tomcat/JBoss application, Jasper report, basic UNIX command.

• Proficient in at least one commercial RDBMS (E.g. Oracle, MS SQL, IBM DB2, etc)

• SVN/Bit Bucket/GitHub version control management tools will be advantage.

• Preferable with life insurance knowledge background.

• Good team player and able to communicate effectively at all levels.

• Able to demonstrate good logical thinking and problem-solving techniques in a business and/or technical environment.

• Possess outstanding professionalism with pleasant attitude and personality.
