Responsibilities
Responsible for claim functionality coding on product launch, enhancement and defect fix.
Understanding business requirement, define and prepare gap analysis.
Propose logical and physical design.
Produce functional and technical specification.
Develop a good understanding of the application system design and data model.
The scope of development will include hands on coding, setup data/DB changes, interfaces to other applications and reports.
Perform System Testing/SIT and provide necessary support for UAT.
Able to perform production system application support by investigate and provide solution.
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or related field.
At least 5 years working experience in system design and development.
Experience and knowledge in Java programming and SQL is a must.
Hands-on experience on web-based programming technologies & framework (E.g. Struts, Spring, Hibernate, HTML5, AJAX, JSP, SOAP/Restful web services, etc)
Knowledge of Eclipse development tools, Apache Tomcat/JBoss application, Jasper report, basic UNIX command.
Proficient in at least one commercial RDBMS (E.g. Oracle, MS SQL, IBM DB2, etc)
SVN/Bit Bucket/GitHub version control management tools will be advantage.
Preferable with life insurance knowledge background.
Good team player and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Able to demonstrate good logical thinking and problem-solving techniques in a business and/or technical environment.
Possess outstanding professionalism with pleasant attitude and personality.
