Job Purpose
The Manager of Psychological Health and Wellness is responsible for developing, executing, and sustaining organization-wide strategies that promote psychological well-being and resilience among employees. This role plays a critical part in embedding mental health practices into the company culture, enhancing employee experience, and ensuring a psychologically safe and supportive work environment in line with Prasarana's purpose, vision, and cultural values.
Key Accountabilities
Strategy & Programme Development:
- Lead the formulation and execution of psychological wellness strategies and initiatives that support a resilient and high-performing workforce.
- Develop annual wellness roadmaps and integrate mental health goals into broader HR and employee engagement strategies.
- Align wellness programmes with organizational values and transformation goals to drive long-term culture change.
Employee Assistance & Intervention:
- Implement early intervention systems, critical incident response plans, and psychological support pathways for employees in distress.
- Provide expert guidance to HR and leadership in handling sensitive employee wellness cases with care and confidentiality.
Engagement, Education & Awareness:
- Plan and execute mental health awareness campaigns, workshops, and training to foster literacy, reduce stigma, and build coping skills.
- Champion psychological safety by equipping leaders and teams with tools to support mental wellness at work.
- Promote a help-seeking culture through effective communication and inclusive employee involvement.
Research, Data & Insights:
- Conduct organizational health diagnostics, psychological risk assessments, and wellness pulse surveys.
- Analyze data to track programme effectiveness, inform decision-making, and recommend improvements.
- Stay updated on trends, standards, and innovations in psychological health and workplace wellness.
Collaboration & Governance:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Risk, Operations) and external mental health professionals to deliver coordinated services.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements related to mental health and employee wellbeing.
- Advocate Prasarana's Culture Beliefs across wellness initiatives and employee experience efforts.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health, Occupational Health, or equivalent.
- Registration with a professional body such as Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM) or Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (MSCP) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mental health, wellness, or psychological services. At least 3 years in a strategic or managerial role in an organizational or clinical setting.
- Expertise in psychological wellness programme design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Strong facilitation, counselling, and communication skills with an ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly.
- Proven capability in conducting risk assessments and organizational diagnostics related to employee wellbeing.
