To provide establish, implement, manage and continuously enhancing the institution's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO standards and institutional goals. This role ensures robust internal quality audits, drives process improvement, standardisation and operational excellence, and maintains certifications and audit readiness to support efficient and quality-driven institutional operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Quality Management System (QMS) Leadership
- Lead the establishment, implementation and continuous improvement of the institution's QMS based on ISO 9001 or relevant standards.
- Ensure alignment of QMS processes with institutional objectives and statutory requirements.
2. Internal Quality Audits (IQA)
- Plan, lead, conduct and manage the annual internal quality audit cycle across the institution.
- Ensure internal audit findings are analysed, corrective actions are tracked, and improvements are institutionalised.
3. ISO/SIRIM Certification & Surveillance
- Oversee the institution's ISO certification, recertification and SIRIM surveillance audits.
- Ensure QMS documentation meets certification requirements, including corrective action management.
4. Process Improvement & Standardisation
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, process reengineering and lean practices across departments.
- Ensure institutional processes are standardised, updated and effectively communicated.
5. Documentation, Data Integrity & Records Management
- Oversee the development, maintenance and control of QMS documentation.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity and accessibility of quality records for audit readiness.
6. Training & Awareness
- Lead institution-wide QMS training, internal auditor training and awareness programmes.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Possess minimum master's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in higher education, preferably in teaching, programme management, or quality assurance.
- Proven track record in educational quality assurance, internal quality audit or a related field.
- Good knowledge of MOHE, MQA or professional body's requirements, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) as well as Taylor's academic policies.
- Passionately impartial to drive quality assurance and continual quality improvement.
- Good interpersonal skills, think laterally, and meticulous.
- Possess certification from SIRIM as an ISO Auditor or MQA's Certified Quality Assurance Officer.
