Summary:
- Lead and manage the reinsurance administration team
- Develop, implement, and maintain the reinsurance administration processes and system
- Settle the reinsurance accounts with reinsurers as per reinsurance contracts
- Take custodianship of reinsurance contracts
- Submit group reporting via Generali Reinsurance Upload & Validation Application (G.R.U.V.A)
- Implement reinsurance related Generali Group policy/ guideline and facilitate the compliance attestation
- Support stakeholders business/ strategic initiatives and operational/ reporting needs
Responsibilities:
1. Lead on Reinsurance Administration Reporting & Modelling:
- Manage all reinsurance deliverables
- Provide the necessary technical training (as required)
- Responsible for regular (monthly, annual, etc) key RI areas (Reinsurance provision, Statement, Queries, Payment Adjustment, Profit Commissions, etc.) in an effective and timely manner.
- Provide insight on the reinsurance statistics movements.
- Liaise with reinsurer on the confirmation of reinsurance payment and provide confirmation documents to finance for payment process.
- Complete and model unmodeled products into RI system (DCS) and thereafter put in processes to ensure development is timely, tested and well-documented.
- Learn and support the development of new/enhanced (eBao) reinsurance module, if required.
2. Perform reinsurance group reporting via G.R.U.V.A:
- Submission of treaty, facultative and recoverable datasets via reinsurance monitoring platform (RMP)
- Submission of technical and financial files in compliance with Generali Accounting Reporting Format for Group Companies (GARFGC)
3. Lead on Technical Support:
- Historical reinsurance data for reinsurance negotiation purposes
- IFRS17 and BNM reporting
- Claims referral checks
- Summary of reinsurance treaties
4. Lead on Operational Controls and Governance:
- To ensure continuous improvement of Risk and Compliance controls of operational processes.
- To assess and update all processes and documentations based on any new/revised guidelines issued by BNM/Generali Group/LIAM.
- Ensure mandatory reporting to any internal and external party is completed within the set timeline.
5. Lead on Regional Reporting and Ad Hoc Support:
- Review and ensure completeness of regional reporting
- Coordinate the ad hoc support for initiatives
- Championing automation and simplification for reporting and processes within the team
Requirements:
- Preferably actuarial or statistic degree or master, while a professional certification (SOA, IFOA, etc.) with at least associateship.
- At least 6 years actuarial experiences.
- Understanding of local insurance markets and competition landscape.
- Understanding of actuarial control cycle
- Reinsurance experience is preferred
