Job Description

Role: Manager Sales

Location - Malaysia

Position Description: The primary responsibility of this role is to build, scale, and sustain the mediasmart business across the assigned region. This includes driving penetration through direct brand partnerships, strengthening agency and trading desk relationships, and establishing thought leadership within the branding and programmatic ecosystem.

We are seeking a seasoned brand sales professional with an entrepreneurial mindset who can replicate and scale the global success of the mediasmart platform within Malaysia

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders across top advertisers to create and execute joint business plans that drive long-term growth and strategic partnerships.
  • Systematically build thought leadership for the mediasmart platform by collaborating with internal teams to develop compelling brand narratives for both direct advertisers and agencies.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline across large agency, trading desk, and direct brand IO opportunities, ensuring consistent achievement of quarterly and annual revenue targets for the region.
  • Lead sales for Affle's mediasmart offerings, including programmatic, proximity solutions, CTV, and mDMP propositions, across agencies, trading desks, and advertisers within the region.
  • Act as the regional business owner, driving accountability, ownership, and collaboration across teams.
  • Accelerate revenue growth by expanding existing programmatic accounts and activating new clients, while enabling and partnering with direct sales teams to scale programmatic revenue.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of RTB and programmatic programs, identifying opportunities for growth through new technologies, optimization strategies, and inventory or placement enhancements.
  • Own periodic reporting and performance analysis of programmatic initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key programmatic ecosystem players, including agencies, trading desks, and technology partners.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or product roles within an ad-tech company, digital media organization, or direct brand environment.
  • Proven experience managing and closing complex, high-value deals, often involving collaboration across global and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, with a clear focus on DSP sales and solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a service-oriented and consultative leadership approach.
  • Ability to confidently present to and influence C-level executives, navigate objections, and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment
