Manager, SHF Reporting, OPEX & Budget

Manage and ensure SHF accounts MFRS17 accounting standard and BNM TOSS/ITSR for STMKB and STMAB are prepared timely and accurately in accordance with established accounting standards and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Budgeting for Management Expenses and Capital Expenditure for STMKB and STMAB.

Job Description

• Ensure monthly, quarterly and yearly timely closing of accounts for both STMKB and STMAB.
• Preparation and review of the monthly, quarterly and yearly Management Account.
• Review and ensure Management Accounts, SOCI, SOFP, SOCE, BNM TOSS/ITSR and other regulatory reporting for SHF STMKB and STMAB are prepared timely, accurately and in accordance with accounting standards and BNM guidelines.
• Preparation of Management Expenses and Sales related expenses analysis report (CEO Deck slides) on monthly basis for both STMKB and STMAB.
• Co-ordinate and prepare budget package for Management Expenses and Capital Expenditure by 4th quarter of the year for both STMKB and STMAB.
• Co-ordinate and prepare Shared services time spend for company-wide on quarterly/yearly basis.
• Preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation on yearly basis.
• Prepare, check and review audit schedules to external auditor for interim and final audit.
• Review workflow to improve controls, efficiency and effectiveness of system and work processes, including documenting policies and procedures for both STMKB and STMAB.
• SUNSystem administrator for Finance and provide solutions for enhancements for both STMKB and STMAB.
• Train and develop staff for future advancement and Ad-hoc project/assignment assigned by the management from time to time.

Qualifications/Requirement

• Recognised accounting degree or professional accounting qualification or is currently pursuing professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 6 years accounting experience, preferably in insurance industry.
• Minimum 6 years in any Accounting system.
