Manager, SPA (local hire)

The Spa Manager's key priorities are to drive revenue growth and profitability, deliver an exceptional guest experience, ensure operational excellence, maximise team performance and productivity, optimise manpower and costs, and maintain the highest standards of service, hygiene, safety, compliance, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the Spa in accordance with established standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maximise Spa revenue and profitability through effective management of treatment sales, retail sales, packages, promotions, upselling, cross-selling, and therapist utilisation.
• Achieve and monitor Spa revenue targets and budget, taking timely corrective actions to address performance gaps and maximise business opportunities.
• Manage the Spa budget and operating costs effectively, ensuring expenses, manpower, inventory, and resources are maintained within approved budget.
• Monitor hotel occupancy, group activities, spa bookings, and business trends to optimise appointment scheduling, manpower deployment, and revenue opportunities.
• Deliver and maintain exceptional guest service, promptly addressing guest inquiries, concerns, complaints, and feedback.
• Lead, supervise, coach, train, and develop Spa Team Members to achieve service, sales, productivity, and performance targets.
• Manage Team Member recruitment, scheduling, performance appraisals, coaching, and disciplinary matters.
• Conduct regular inspections of Spa facilities to ensure operational readiness, cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and brand standards.
• Ensure all treatments and services are delivered consistently in accordance with the Spa Training Manual and established procedures.
• Identify and implement initiatives to improve revenue generation, productivity, guest retention, and overall Spa profitability.
• Coordinate effectively with other hotel departments to support guest requirements, promotions, group business, and overall hotel revenue objectives.
• Maintain accurate operational, financial, sales, inventory, and guest records, including regular monitoring and reporting of Spa performance.
• Handle operational issues and emergency situations promptly and professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management in support of the overall Spa business and financial objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Spa Management, Wellness, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years relevant Spa/Wellness/Hospitality experience, including managerial or supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to achieve revenue targets, maximise sales, manage budgets, and control operating costs.
• Strong knowledge of Spa operations, treatments, retail, promotions, upselling, and revenue generation.
• Strong leadership, team development, guest relations, and communication skills.
• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, manpower planning, and performance management.
• Knowledge of health, hygiene, safety, and Spa industry standards.
