Manager, Strategic Commercialisation

Job Purpose

The role mainly supports the Head of Department in pursuing land divestment and strategic

commercialization opportunities. The role includes supporting the Head of Department in sourcing

and evaluating prospects and offers for lands identified for commercialization, and subsequently

overseeing the transaction which involves multiple internal and external stakeholders. The role also

requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, excellent written skills to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.

Job Accountabilities

• Assist the Head of Department in ensuring organisational and departmental goals (including revenue, OPEX and profitability targets) are set and met.
• Evaluate land divestment proposals, prepare the necessary studies and papers and support the Head of Department to make the necessary recommendation to the EXCO, Board Development Committee and Board of Directors.
• Assist the Head of Department, and in certain cases lead, in negotiations with counterparties, the preparation of key terms of agreement and in the review and finalization of the agreements/contract documents for the land divestment transaction.
• Monitor all land divestment transactions entered into by the Group to ensure successful and timely completion.
• Creating, establishing and maintaining a strong network with agents, land brokers, valuers, etc. to facilitate a steady transaction pipeline.

Qualifications & Technical Competences

• Bachelor's Degree Specialized in Property Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, Accounting or any equivalent.
• Total Work Experience: Minimum 10 years
• Total Relevant Experience: More than 4 years in relevant industry, similar responsibilities.
• Possess breadth of cross-functional / industry knowledge, preferably valuation, research, land divestment and financial analysis.
• Have depth and insight of the Property industry. In depth marketing strategies, understanding land divestment approach and methodology, enjoy interaction with people, challenge the norm and adaptable to fast-paced changing environments.
• Preferably with the ability to prepare financial statements (NPV, cash flows, etc.) for various land divestment proposals.
• Good writing, reposting and presentation skills in view of various proposals to be prepared and various documentations and correspondences in executing land divestment proposals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, leadership skills and teamwork, resilient, decisive and pro-active with highly creative mindset with good interpersonal and communication skills.
