Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality management and ensure alignment with customer quality expectations.
  • Lead quality programs focused on Bill of Materials (BOM), including quality-at-source, supplier rating system, supplier audits, change control, traceability, incoming inspection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee product/materials reliability testing and benchmark against global best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Operations, Factories) to develop QA dashboards, scorecards, and implement new processes to enhance product/supplier quality and performance.
  • Establish and maintain robust supplier and customer QA systems to meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
  • Continuously review and upgrade quality systems to achieve world-class standards and meet leading customer requirements.
  • Drive initiatives for cost reduction projects and implement measurable improvements without compromising quality.
  • Be a core member of a high-performing QA team, supporting business growth and talent development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering Management, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in quality assurance within large-scale battery or electronics manufacturing organizations.
  • Proven expertise in supplier quality systems and BOM management.
  • Regional exposure across Asia (China, Malaysia, Vietnam); experience in supply chain or operations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with battery industry standards is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and financial awareness.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, FMEA, AQL, ISO9001/IATF16949 QMS, quality audits, and related QA methodologies.
  • Experience in cost reduction projects and measurement is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and supplier management skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin); Malay or Vietnamese is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
